Rick Owens’ Autumn/Winter 2017 collection, titled “GLITTER,” marked a shift from themes of decline toward flamboyant liberation. Inspired by the sleazy and liberated spirit of the 1960s–70s disco era, it embraced glam, nonconformity, and theatrical movement under shimmering lights. The collection signaled a new chapter of expressive opulence in Rick’s body of work. A stand out piece from the collection were the “Lego Boots”, feature stacked wooden-and-leather block soles and intricate pentagram lacing extending up the leg. These are a 1:1 sample variation includes one squared wooden heel instead of Owens’ refined circular finish.
