Collection: Taichi Murakami

Taichi Murakami Archive Menswear Collection

Our Taichi Murakami archive collection brings together the avant-garde work of a Japanese designer whose craft lies at the intersection of minimalism, technical precision and innovation. After honing his skills under M.A+ founder Maurizio Amadei as a pattern-maker, Murakami launched his eponymous label in 2012. He seeks out unique fibres—sometimes integrating stainless-steel thread, paper or other unconventional materials before patterning garments as structural objects rather than traditional construction. The silhouettes fuse softness with rigid construction: pockets hidden by origami-inspired folds, metallic buttons crafted locally, seams displaced intentionally to evoke both movement and stillness - where wearability meets experimental materiality, where industrial utility is tempered by Japanese craftsmanship, and where each piece is as much an architectural study as it is a garment
