DETAJ Archive Jewelry Collection

Our DETAJ archive collection celebrates one of Japan’s most quietly radical jewelry ateliers. Founded in 1995 by designer Takayoshi Yamanami, originally while working as a buyer and unable to find the jewellery he envisioned—DETAJ emerged from a commitment to hand-crafting each piece in Japan. Yamanami’s process begins with a visceral dialogue with metal: endless trials, the bending and coaxing of form, the harnessing of structure over pure decoration. The result is jewelry that transcends gender: pieces built on the beauty of function, the integrity of form, and the raw elegance of material. Every ring, pendant and component is rooted in workshop-handcraft and architectural minimalism. This archive collection invites the collector to explore DETAJ’s dual world: where minimalist restraint meets expressive structure, and where jewelry becomes sculpture worn at the edge of subtle rebellion.
