Collection: Ganryu

Ganryu Archive Menswear Collection

Launched in 2007 within the umbrella of COMME des GARÇONS by Fumito Ganryu — who came up through the ranks at Comme des Garçons and worked under Junya WatanabeGANRYU represented a bold, uncompromising take on modern menswear and beyond. With its roots in American sportswear and Japanese deconstruction, the label subverted everyday garments — hoodies, coach jackets, denim — with off-kilter proportions, vivid colour jumps, raw edges and sharp tailoring. Known for liberating apparel from binary gender norms, Ganryu’s designs embraced fluidity and neutrality, creating pieces for anyone who rejected convention. This archive collection gathers rare runway and off-calendar pieces from the GANRYU era — vivid layering, experimental fabrics, subtle punk-energy and deeply wearable rebellion. For the collector drawn to Japanese design heritage, underground authenticity and the unexpected in menswear, these are artifacts of fashion’s fringe. GANRYU didn’t simply make clothes — it re-imagined them.
