Yohji Yamamoto, the legendary 80-year-old Japanese fashion designer renowned for his avant-garde style. Initially trained in law, Yamamoto shifted to fashion, influenced by his dressmaker mother. Launched his eponymous label in 1972, his designs are known for their avant-garde silhouettes, predominantly in black, featuring intricate drapery and varying textures. Founded “+NOIR” as the subsidiary label for Yohji Yamamoto’s women’s daily clothes. Most designs sticked to the well-used black colour and unique silhouette, so it is not old-fashioned and not following any trends.
