Y’s was founded by Yohji Yamamoto in 1972, as the first fashion label of the celebrated Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto. Now the brand is positioned as a more accessible compared to his mainline, ready-to-wear collection, Y’s maintains a strong connection to the main Yohji Yamamoto label by embracing the designer’s signature motifs of deconstruction, asymmetry, and a predominantly monochromatic palette.
