A fun fact about this jacket is that it was purchased directly from Ye’s (previously known as Kanye West) personal collection through his wardrobe stylist.

The jacket’s pattern pieces are sewn onto 12mm wide and 1mm thick dark grey leather strips. Rather than using the more popular overlock machine stitch, a more challenging and painstaking method was used instead, resulting in a high-contrast 3D effect as the panels shift during movement.

When you look at the reverse side of the jacket, you may notice some white residue on the surface. That's not mould, rather, excess fat from the leather rising to the surface. The leather's high fat content produces this and can be rubbed back in if desired.

During this period of time, Carol pieces utilized YKK zippers (currently, custom CCP branded YKK zippers are being used). The front zipper is a special YKK loop style zipper allowing the pull tab to switch sides effortlessly. Designed for the reversible jacket, this zipper offers smooth action, little resistance, and simplistic functionality.

The front pockets also utilize YKK zippers, with additional paneling above the pocket creating a distinctive 3D wing-like effect when unzipped—a signature design element now closely associated with the brand.

The pocket offers dual access points on both sides of the jacket, each leading into a single integrated pouch.

The wide elastic hem and cuffs enhance insulation by forming a secure seal around the body and wrists. This feature complements the use of winter gloves, ensuring effective cold-weather protection.

Being cropped on the body, this jacket will not only look great with statement-making pants, but will also be easy for the wearer to enter and exit vehicles. 

When worn with the fur side outward, the jacket may require more effort to put on due to the interior being the reversed side of the rich, fatty leather body. Conversely, wearing it reversed with the smooth fur inside makes it easier to take on and off.

This adaptable jacket is suitable for both transitional seasons and winter due to the distinct qualities of its two sides. For colder winter conditions, wearing the fur lining inside provides optimal warmth, while during milder, cool weather, the jacket can be worn with the fur side facing outward.
