VETEMENTS, pronounced “vet-MAW” (“clothing in French”, is luxury fashion brand and a “design collective” founded in 2014 by two Georgian brothers; Demna and Guram Gvasalia. Spearheaded by Demna Gvasalia; whom now is the creative director for Balenciaga, he has achieved worldwide success with VETEMENTS and everything he touches. The brand possesses a unique design philosophy as having no sub or supra identity, inspired by everyday fashion and regular people, VETEMENTS present ‘garments’ with playfulness in unique exaggerated silhouettes and distinctive pattern cutting. Their Spring/Summer 2017 collection was no exception, featuring clothing being super oversized, half-tucked shirts & boots and a reinterpretation of modern ‘pop culture’ logo. Showcasing a beautiful pair of boots from the same collection, made with soft black cow leather with a thick cuban heel, feature a simple ‘ring’ at the back.
