Vetements, founded by brothers Demna and Guram Gvasalia in 2014, disrupted the fashion scene with its avant-garde designs and streetwear aesthetics. Hailing from Georgia, the Gvasalia brothers gained prominence for their work at Maison Margiela and Louis Vuitton. Vetements quickly gained a cult following for its oversized silhouettes and unconventional approach. Despite controversy over its high prices and influence on fast fashion, the brand continues to challenge norms. In recent years, Vetements has evolved, embracing sustainability and collaborating with brands like Reebok, reflecting a dynamic journey in the fashion landscape. From it’s first season under the direction of the other Gvasalia’s brother, Guram absolutely nailed the collection. VETEMENTS Autumn/Winter 2021 were featured a 165-page loobook with a burning background to reflect “the hell we’re all living through”. The showcase pair of denim crafted with a baggier cut, light weight pre-washed denim with barb wire graphic spiralling throughout.
