In 2009, the Wang Zhi founded her namesake label - UMA WANG and quickly achieved significant success. She earned a strong international reputation due to her exceptional understanding of fabrics, precise tailoring, and blend of sophistication with timeless design. Born in Hebei in 1972, Uma Wang was drawn to aesthetics and Eastern philosophy. Her imagination and artistic flair, led her to pursue a career in fashion design. In 1992, she began her fashion design studies at Shanghai China Textile University and later worked as an in-house designer for various Chinese labels, where she shaped her skills of textile. In 2002, she moved to London to study fashion design at Central Saint Martins. Three years later, she launched her label and focused on knitwear. Today, UMA WANG pieces are available in over 100 stores across more than 25 countries, continually attracting the attention of top buyers worldwide.
