Takahiro Miyashita, born in Tokyo in 1973, founded the influential Japanese fashion label Number (N)ine in 1997. The brand drew inspiration from American culture, military aesthetics, and rock music, gaining a dedicated following for its unique blend of styles. At the peak of its success in 2009, Miyashita announced his departure from Number (N)ine, concluding with the Autumn/Winter 2009-10 collection.Later on in the same year, he launched his eponymous label; TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist., showcasing his evolving design philosophy. The Autumn/Winter 2015 collection, titled “Symphony #0012,” is widely regarded as one of his most compelling works.A standout piece from this season is a heavy fine wool coat, adorned with lambskin leather trimmings and brass metal accents.
