Spring/Summer 2011 “ANTHEM” collection was a visceral tribute to asceticism and raw elegance—featuring elongated silhouettes, militant layering, and a stripped-back palette of black, bone, and dust. Referencing spiritual purity and brutalism, “ANTHEM” pushed Owens’ vision of futurist monasticism through a gothic lens. Showcased here is probably one of the most avant-garde footwear design from Rick Owens, feature a sculptural silhouette with a calfskin leather upper, original rubber sole, crepe outsole layering, and industrial staples embedded at the back heel.
