  Rick Owens’ Autumn/Winter 2024 “PORTERVILLE” collection draws from his Californian roots, blending rugged Americana with his signature brutalist aesthetic. Inspired by his youth in Porterville, the collection features raw, distressed textures and exaggerated silhouettes. The Geth cut denim as showcased, embodies this ethos. The denim is in a Rick Owens’ classic “Dust” colour way, they feature a wide-leg cut and high-waisted fit, top off with wax finishing to achieve a stiff, sculptural drape. The wax treatment enhances its lived-in, almost fossilized appearance, adding depth to the rugged denim.
