Throughout Rick’s career spanning almost 35 years to this day, he has successfully reshaped the concept of luxury fashion by combining a raw & bold approach with unique sophisticated tailoring and pattern making. For his Autumn/Winter 2017 collection; tilted “GLITTER”, drawing inspiration from the extravagant 1970s era of California that influenced his youth, the embodied a spirit of rebellion and freedom during times bringing together elements of disco decadence and resilience. The fashion show featured models, in exaggerated puffers outerwear, geometrical shape clothing that feels like it was coming out of the wearer’s body, with a mix of Rick Owen’s favourite sculpture & brutalism architecture references that created a mix of glamorous looks on the runway.
