Autumn/Winter 2009 “CRUST” feature a resurrection of the infamous 2006 Rick Owens Dunks, reissued with subtle updates after Nike’s legal challenge forced a cease-and-desist. Preserved for over 15 years, these sneakers now known as the “Crust” dunks iteration, kept the padded high-top profile and signature side panel striping, now reimagined in a smooth cow leather upper with a side zip closure. The most defining feature have to be the oxidized rubber sole—aged naturally over time into a deep yellow “piss” tone, making them a staple Rick Owens’ holy grail.
