About the Brand
About the Brand
Nuke was the original label founded by designer Tatsuro Horikawa in 1996. By 2001, Horikawa rebranded Nuke as JULIUS to broaden his creative scope, incorporating influences from music, graphic art, and film. During the Nuke era, the brand established themes that would define JULIUS, including techno-inspired sounds, industrial and military motifs, and a commitment to underground culture. Nuke laid the groundwork for JULIUS, with many foundational concepts and design elements from Nuke continuing to shape the brand’s evolution.
