Mihara Yasuhiro, a renowned Japanese fashion designer, founded his eponymous label in 1998, initially focusing on footwear. His design philosophy combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative materials, resulting in avant-garde, streetwear-inspired collections. His work often blurs the boundaries between fashion and art, making it highly sought after by fashion enthusiasts worldwide. His lasting impact on Japanese fashion stems from his ability to continuously reinvent his style while remaining true to his origins, reflecting the ever-changing and diverse nature of the Japanese fashion industry. One of Mihara’s frequent collaborators is Jas M.B London, a British fashion / bag designers producing high-quality leather goods and accessories. They have a long-standing collaboration, together they create highly sought-after pieces that reflect the fusion of British and Japanese fashion sensibilities. The showcase bag design came out of their collaborative project during 2008-2009, which in my opinion Mihara & Jas Sehmbi has created some of finest leather bag ever. Constructed from a premium cowhide leather that has been well treated for the past years, feature 2 compartments with one of them hidden that can be expanded for storage.
