Mihara Yasuhiro launched his namesake label in 1998, becoming one of Japan’s most innovative designers. Initially focused on footwear, his work merges traditional craftsmanship with experimental materials and deconstructed aesthetics. His designs often blurred the boundary between fashion and art, embody a rebellious yet refined sensibility, constantly evolving while staying rooted in his avant-garde approach. These pants from Autumn/Winter 2003 collection; A rare archival piece from one of his earliest collection as ‘Archi-dom’, exemplify his early exploration of rugged, utilitarian aesthetics. Made from heavy-duty corduroy cotton, they feature patchwork paneling throughout the legs and pockets, reinforcing durability while enhancing the deconstructed feel, reflects Mihara’s signature fusion of workwear functionality and artistic expression.
