MiharaYasuhiro SS10 Shoulder Padded Lounge Blazer
Made in Japan
Whilst continuing to succeed heavily with his abstract footwear designs at Puma, Yasuhiro started to edge slowly into the designing of menswear at is namesake label, leading him to eventually introduce the inaugural MIHARAYASUHIRO clothing collection at Tokyo Fashion week in November of 1999. After 5 years and a great deal of success, Yasuhiro finally exported his mainline abroad, with his first overseas runway being at Milan fashion week in 2004. Yasuhiro has since branched out to work with brands such as Moncler, Nigel Cabourn and Fila, as well as continuously succeeding with his eponymous label, overall cementing his name as a fantastically underrated designer of obscure and fascinating pieces, with the shoe now dubbed as the “Melted Canvas Sneaker” being the most notable of the many. Released as a part of the Mihara Yasuhiro Fall/Winter 2011 Milan collection, this particular blazer has to be one of the most versatile leather piece I’ve ever come across. Plain and subtle stripes down blazer with ruched/wrinkle effects throughout, charms details near the neck and posses a super comfy fit.
