Mihara Yasuhiro is a Japanese notorious fashion designer, best known for his footwear intriguing designs, established is mark on the Tokyo fashion scene following his graduation at Tama Art University (fun fact : Issey Miyake also is a notable fashion alumni) in 1997. Later on 1998, Opening up his first boutiques in the heart of Aoyama district, called “SOSU Mihara Yasuhiro”. However, Mihara Yasuhiro solidified him as a reckoning designer after his partnership with PUMA, which debuted in 2000 and became a groundbreaking collaboration in the early 21st century. For Fall/Winter 2009 collection titled “Left and Right”, the Japanese designer sought to expresses a sense of journey and transformation with inspiration linked to the Silk Road that popularized in the Western and Wast worlds at the time. The collection features traditional Western footwear interjected with a twist of Mihara’s designs as a Japanese aesthetic endeavour. The particular boots were one of the prominent designs not only throughout the collection, but also for the brand discography in general. Reminiscing of an Engineering boots silhouette, the boots were constructed from buttery black cow leather with natural wrinkles & distressing, feature an extended layers and side zips for easy access and a wooden sole.
