Founded by Tatsuro Horikawa in 2001, Julius_7 emerged from Tokyo’s underground scene, blending industrial, cyberpunk, and spiritual aesthetics. Originally a visual art project, Julius evolved into a cult fashion label known for monochromatic palettes, architectural tailoring, and distressed treatments. Horikawa’s background in punk and minimalism informs the brand’s somber, apocalyptic mood. The Autumn/Winter 2024–25 “rift;” collection explores themes of isolation and fragmentation—featuring waxed 10oz wide-leg denim, raw hems, layered silhouettes, and exaggerated volumes. It reflects Horikawa’s continued push into experimental yet wearable dystopian couture.
