Julius_7 AW10-11 “goth_ik;” Shapeshifting Bondage Gas Mask Cargo Pants
Made in Japan
Founded by the Japanese fashion designer, Tatsuro Horikawa, ‘Julius _7’ seamlessly merges avant-garde aesthetics with urban streetwear. Established in 2001 as a humble independent film group, ‘Julius’ slowly progressed to be the apparel label it’s today. Tatsuro’s designs are synonymous with a dystopian, industrial aesthetic, drawing inspiration from Tokyo’s dynamic street culture. Part of Julius's Autumn/Winter 2010/2011 collection, "goth_ik;", these pants are a striking representation of the brand’s signature aesthetic, merging industrial edge with utilitarian practicality. At the heart of the design are the iconic Gas Mask pockets—an adaptation of dystopian military pockets—reimagined to reflect both functionality and a sense of conceptual storytelling. These distinctive pockets not only nod to the harsh realities of a post-apocalyptic world but also highlight Julius’s innovative approach to reinterpreting classic military elements through a modern, avant-garde lens.
