Hysteric Glamour, established in 1984 by Nobuhiko Kitamura, is a Japanese fashion label renowned for its fusion of 1960s mass media imagery with contemporary streetwear. Drawing inspiration from music icons like Marc Bolan and the Sex Pistols, as well as pop art by Andy Warhol, the brand offers a diverse range of apparel, including T-shirts, jeans, and accessories. In 2006, Hysteric Glamour collaborated with the Detroit art rock band Destroy All Monsters, integrating the band’s distinctive logos and artwork into authentically aged shirts, sweaters, jackets, and denim. This exclusive collection, available only in Japan, exemplified the brand’s commitment to blending countercultural art with fashion.
