Helmut Lang is an Austrian fashion designer renowned for his minimalist and deconstructionist approach to fashion, whom help shifts the landscape of what considered to be “luxury fashion” into what & how we known of it today. First gained prominence in the 1990s with his usage of military inspired technical fabrics and unconventional pattern cutting, his designs often blended sleek, understated elegance with urban aesthetic elements and functionality, sometimes also encoded the expression of punk and “bdsm” bondage elements with clean-tailored silhouettes.
