Ann Demeulemeester, a renowned Belgian fashion designer, emerged as a prominent figure within the ‘Antwerp Six,’ a group of avant-garde designers who revolutionized the fashion industry in the 1980s. She launched her eponymous fashion label in 1987, emphasizing a unique and darkly poetic aesthetic characterized by monochromatic palettes and unconventional tailoring. Ann Demeulemeester’s impact on the fashion world endures, and her innovative designs continue to inspire the industry. Since she left her eponymous label in 2013, Sébastien Meunier did a stunning job of continuing Ann Demeulemeester’s legacy and not so much for the following successors that came after. This jacket was featured on Look 16 from Autumn/Winter 2016 collection from the label under Sébastien’s direction, crafted with a zigzag waved herringbone cotton blend material that has undergone a deep blue indigo dye, featuring a cropped fit and an elongated sleeves.
