Yohji Yamamoto, the legendary 80-year-old Japanese fashion designer renowned for his avant-garde style. Initially trained in law, Yamamoto shifted to fashion, influenced by his dressmaker mother. Launched his eponymous label in 1972, his designs for both menswear & womenswear collection are predominantly known for their avant-garde silhouettes, featuring intricate drapery and varying textures. However, for Autumn/Winter 2004-2005, Yohji Yamamoto has decided to collaborate with Dainese, a notorious Italian motorsports gear manufacturer, to create array of products featuring multiple variations of Dainese classic motorcycle jackets, and added logos along with quirky iconography of his own conjuring. Nowadays, the collaboration of the two is now considered an archive classic for its perfect blend of high fashion & sportswear, with pieces from the same collection posted absurd price tags.
