Made in Japan
Undercover was founded in 1990 by Jun Takahashi, a visionary designer with a passion for music and punk culture, by incorporating different references from that culture, the brand has successfully melts streetwear aesthetics with high fashion and present them in such uniquely beautiful way. For Undercover's Fall/Winter 2001 collection, titled "D.A.V.F" (Decorated Armed Voluntary Forces), designer Jun Takahashi explored the intersection of military aesthetics and the opulence of jewelry, creating a compelling contrast. The collection primarily features garments inspired by military uniforms, which are adorned with unexpected embellishments and jewelry-like detailing. By merging these contrasting elements, Takahashi crafts a powerful anti-war statement, using the luxury of jewelry to underscore the brutal reality of warfare. This particular item showcases a unique patchwork design, featuring denim patches in various shapes and shades that create a dynamic, textured look across the pants.
